Get the Skills to be a Community Services Worker and Mental Health Worker

The Community Services Worker and Mental Health diploma program at triOS is 62-weeks in length, totalling 1,280 hours, and includes a 8-week internship that provides practical, real-world experience in a community setting.

This program prepares you to play an important role in strengthening communities by delivering social assistance programs, counselling support, and wellness services that help individuals face personal and social challenges while improving their overall quality of life. You will study a wide range of subjects such as sociology, psychology, criminology, counselling, family dynamics, addictions, and mental health. You will also develop essential skills in communication, case management, crisis intervention, program planning, and career preparation.

Along with classroom instruction, you will earn certifications including Verbal Intervention, Trauma and Violence Informed Care, Positive Space Training, Naloxone Administration, Helping Trafficked Persons, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, CPR / First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, Risk Assessment & Management (SPRAM), and At the Intersection: Building Awareness and Capacity to Support People Experiencing Intersectional Stigma. By graduation, you will be equipped with the knowledge, hands-on training, and credentials to begin a meaningful career in community and mental health services across Canada.
